In this paper, we study the electrokinetic energy generation in nanochannels grafted with pH-responsive polyelectrolyte brushes modeled using our recently developed Strong Stretching Theory. In this collaborative work with the group of Prof. Liangbing Hu, a stable, salt-resistant solar evaporator has been designed. My contribution to this study has been the development of a scaling model that establishes the condition under which the detrimental effect of salt accumulation can be overcome.
