Prof. Das delivered an invited talk on the topic “Computational Thermo-Fluidics for Modeling the Aerosol Jet 3D Printing” in the AICTE Sponsored Faculty Development Program organized by NIT Silchar.

Prof. Das has been selected for invitation to the 2021 inaugural PCCP (Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics) Emerging Investigators Themed Issue. He was previously selected for invitation to the inaugural PCCP Emerging Investigators Themed Issue.

SMIEL’s 1st Ph.D. student and also SMIEL postdoc Dr. Gunag Chen will be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics, Peking University, China from March, 2021. This is the 3rd faculty recruit from SMIEL. Many congratulations, Guang.

Former SMIEL postdoc Dr. Chenglin Yi has joined the Mechanical Engineering School of the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) China as a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
