This work is with Prof. Bing Hu’s group and it develops a wood membrane for efficient water purification. The contribution of our group was simulating the process. Guang led the simulations efforts. This is Guang’s 14th paper from the group….

The paper demonstrates the origin of charge-inversion-like electrostatics for charged semi-permeable membranes. This is Shayandev’s 11th paper and Jing’s 2nd paper from the group. Congrats to both !!!!!

The paper proposes to graft nanochannels with end-charged polyelectrolyte brushes for ensuring a massive enhancement of electroosmotic transport — the work reverses the idea that brush-grafted nanochannels will necessarily demonstrate a weaker transport. This is Guang’s 13th paper in SMIEL. Huh…Congrats….
