In this collaborative study with the group of Prof. Liangbing Hu in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, UMD, we describe the behavior of wood as an ionic cable. SMIEL’s contribution in this paper is the through the development of theoretical model for calculating the ionic conductivity in wood nanochannels. This is Guang’s 27th paper from the paper.
