June 2022: Paper accepted in The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters

In this paper, we employ molecular simulations to show the pronounced effect of localized heating in triggering imbibition and mixing between two nanoconfined immiscible liquids having distinct wettability differences with the nanochannel wall. This is Raashiq’s 1st paper and Turash’s 9th paper from the group. Congrats All!!!

April 2022: Harnoor wins the Department’s 2021 Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award

SMIEL former Ph.D. student Dr. Harnoor Singh Sachar won the best Ph.D. dissertation thesis of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the year 2021. Harnoor was the 5th Ph.D. student to graduate from the group and was the 3rd one from the group to receive this award after Guang Chen and Shayandev Sinha.
