Prof. Siddhartha Das delivered an invited talk titled “Water and Ions at Nanoscopic Interfaces: From 2-D materials to plasma membranes” at the Waterloo Institute of Nanotechnology (WIN) of the University of Waterloo.

In this paper, we develop a theory to show how the membrane semi-permeability ensures that the membrane EDL capacitance may significantly affect the overall capacitance of the membrane-EDL system. This is Shayandev’s 17th paper and Harnoor’s 2nd paper from the group. Congrats to both of them !!!!

In this paper, we provide a design criterion for selecting the critical length of receptor-ligand complexes for nanoparticles for ascertaining the nanoparticle-membrane interactions in a given electrostatic environment. This is Shayandev’s 16th paper, Jing’s 5th paper, and Harnoor’s 1st paper from the group. Congrats to all three !!!!
