In this paper, which is a collaborative effort with Prof. Sushanta Mitra of University of Waterloo, we employ the classical Molecular Dynamics simulations for studying the dynamics of water drop on nanopillared hexagonal Boron Nitride nanostructure. This is Yanbin’s 13th paper and Enrique’s 1st paper from the group.

Prof. Siddhartha Das has been chosen as one of the Honorees in the UMD’s Maryland Research Excellence Celebration 2020. This award has been bestowed to Prof. Das to recognize his research contributions in 2019 that have “demonstrably elevated the visibility and reputation of the University of Maryland Research Enterprise”.

In this collaborative work, we report the use of thermally conductive hexagonal Boron Nitride coating for developing fire-Resistant structural material.

The funding is for the project “Additive Manufacturing of Microscale Inductors for RF Applications”. Prof. Ryan Sochol and Prof. Abhijit Dasgupta are co-PIs on the project.

In this paper, we employ Molecular Dynamics simulations to establish the non-monotonic density dependence of fluid dissipation in fluid-coupled nanoresonators like fluid-filled oscillating CNTs. This is Turash’s 1st paper and Yanbin’s 12th paper from the group. Congrats to both !!!!!

In this paper, we show that the arrest of coffee-stain effect makes the Carbon-Nanotube-Graphene-Oxide Ink Printable and use that printable ink to print temperature sensors and embedded structures. This is Beihan’s 1st, Yanbin’s 11th, and Shayandev’s 25th paper from the group. Congrats All!!!!

Yanbin is the 3rd PhD from the group. His thesis is on “WATER, ION, AND GRAPHENE: AN ODYSSEY THROUGH THE MOLECULAR SIMULATIONS.” Yanbin had started his PhD in Fall 2016.

As an invited contributor, Prof. Das have been nominated as an up-and-coming researcher in physical chemistry, chemical physics and biophysical chemistry, and selected for invitation by the PCCP Editorial Board.
